Yes, It's the 200 Year Anniversary of the 8 Magnitude Earthquake that struck down in the Tennessee, Missouri Region in the year 1811 and 1812!!! There were actually a Grand Total of 3 Major Earthquakes and a lot of aftershocks!!!!! Also, no actual seismographs as we know them today and so as a result no actual number for the Magnitude! Those numbers are ones that have been calculated over the years using systems that are used to calculate the size of an earthquake based on the amount of damage and are fairly accurate just the same. In any event it is the system that was always used traditionally before seismographs came along and sometimes reads like X, IV, IX, and VIII, etc. for the size of an earthquake if you know what I mean! Although I do not refer to it as the "Roman Numeral System" either!
So, be watching for that 6 Magnitude Earthquake that might strike this Saturday since it will be the Full Moon!!! But as one smart reader pointed out. . . I won't have to worry about tsunami in Oklahoma! Then WHY do I already have my Personal Floatation Device packed????? See You All! Quake Chaser / EQ Guy
