NOW Possible "Quake Chase 2019" New Madrid!!!!!

Yes, of course it depends on how much the "Christmas Bonus" is going to be, but it currently DOES for sure look like this could be a big one as far as the Possible Major Shaker heading almost directly for the New Madrid Region!!! Right at the moment I'm looking at the November 2019 Full Moon, or around Tuesday, October 12, 2019 for that shaker, although history has taught me I'll also want to catch "Grand Old Opry" there, and so possibly later in the week. . . not knowing if Full Moon has that much pull at this "Intra-Plate" location.

To be continued and until then watch around New Madrid because been a while since Major Earthquake there!!!

Quake Chase 2017!!! Hayward, California For Next Big San Francisco Earthquake???

Well, we do at least know for sure there's a big one headed directly for the San Francisco Bay Region once again. . . just a matter of it it looks to be big enough that it's worthy of my next "Quake Chase" to the Bay Area!!!

Wasn't all that big and impressive of a landfall at the South of Japan where all such Quake Chases originate, but was a direct hit there and winds were reported up to 95 Miles Per Hour!!! AND the "Straight-Line" does head directly across the Pacific. . . for SAN FRANCISCO!!!!!

Just a little to the north and crosses just a little to the East there, so let's try Hayward, California!!! Short easy ride on the Bay Area Rapid Transit or from "SFO" that's San Francisco International Airport or whatever those letters might stand for exactly!

Stay tuned and see if this next upcoming Medium Sized Earthquake doesn't hit directly around July 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25. . . The July New Moon Window!!!

Last trip during such a similar "Full Moon Supermoon Window" was very, very close when big one struck Napa, California on August 24 just a few days after I was there and actually during following New Moon Window!!!!!

NOW that's one of the things I still need to do on next trip whenever it may be whether it's this one or the next is to check out "PATH" the bus to Napa from Northern most point on the BART at El Cerritos, California and back on the return trip!!!

Until then be watching because this is a direct hit. . . and it will be very soon regardless if Quake Chaser is there or not!!!

NEXT: Quake Chase Lima, Peru??? Agua Caliente, Peru???

Because the last big one in South America was Ecuador and there was a ton of interest in doing a "Quake Chase" for that place. . . and such a thing would have resulted in being right there in the middle of a HUGE Earthquake and a fairly big local type of event exactly as I had originally planned it long ago when I did my very first Quake Chase in 2011.

So, to my knowledge we did not have anybody working the Ecuador Quake Chase, but today will we have a big "Quake Chase-Lima, Peru"!!!!!?????

As those days click, click, click away it might be time to start thinking about heading down towards PERU!!!

Yes, Lima, Peru!!! In fact as soon as I'm done typing this into the Quake Chaser Blog. . . I'm going directly to the "Air Lines" websites and checking how soon I can FLY OUT!!! Although I have to work tomorrow as I'm now writing this late on the evening of February 2, 2017. . . I'll search for the first flight out!!! Of course never sure if it will result in me actually being there, just want to state the date was February 9, 2017 and the predicted magnitude is at 8 due to a fore shock at PNG also having been 8, so it makes it very likely Lima, Peru will be struck by an 8 Richters Earthquake on or possibly now before that February 9 date!!!

If you ever find yourself going out on one of these Quake Chases, then using this one as an example, plan on being there through the predicted date or about the end of next week. If you're one of my followers also plan on taking a lot of pictures, and sticking around to help out in whatever way your help may be needed, too. Then only leave when there's enough of the hardest work and you are able to leave there.

And Thank-You in advance both for helping on this Quake Chase Project, and helping any people who might in the future become victims of Major Earthquakes!!! Especially ones we might have known were going to be happening!!!

Looking Like a "Quake Chase 2015: Palm Springs" Might Be Happening in July of 2015!!!

All of this was already going on as the month of July turned out to be a "Blue Moon" and as I was watching for something to happen during the early of the two full moons this month. As I am writing this the first of those is right now high overhead and the exact moment of that full moon was this time yesterday.

Just when I opened the list of latest earthquakes now to see what had been shaking throughout the day, there is quite a list of earthquakes that have been shaking Brawley near the Salton Sea and about 30 to 50 miles south of Palm Springs where I am intending to be going next week as I write. Here's hoping it won't shake there too much before I get on the road and get out there!

As of this writing I am still very much planning to leave a week from today after my Friday shift!

Quake Chase 2015: New Madrid!!!!!

Having a really good time and there's been a LOT of earthquakes here! The ground seems to be shaking practically all the time and my hand is full of times written down when it shook! I don't suppose there will be that big of one, but it all started on Saturday when a 3.1 Richters Earthquake came up for New Madrid near Lillian or town name something like that, sorry I don't know that town. Traveled all around today seeing Blytheville, Poplar Bluff, Cairo Illinois and the Ohio River along with many other places!!!

Actually decided along the way that I don't really want to hang around here for Wednesday Nights Full Moon so looks like I'll be leaving tomorrow for home. . . my work is done here for now! See you all next time there is another big "Quake Chase"!!!!!

LOTS Going On In California!!! Is A Quake Chase Coming???

With all the Super Typhoons currently criss-crossing the Pacific it is now very much apparent California will be getting some major shaking in the coming days of October and November 2014!

WILL the Quake Chaser Dude be back on the road. . . again? Soon?

As of this writing there are just TOO MANY different lines of Major Earthquake Energy especially for the San Francisco and Napa Valley Region where they already did get that 6.1 Richters Earthquake on August 24 under the proverbial light of the August New Moon!!!

So, it looks like while somewhere between Fort Bragg, Santa Rosa, and Sacramento is the likely epicenter of this now upcoming earthquake, Quake Chaser is leaning AWAY from heading out there, although a wonderful return trip across Colorado where the leaves are probably turning color right about now does sound like an EXCELLENT Amtrak ride, though!

Let's stay focused on the fact that we are trying to "Staycation" at the exact location where the maximum shaking takes place. In this case it would mean probably quite a long stretch in Beautiful Downtown Buttonwillow, California where there really is not enough to do there besides wait for the earthquake. And I can do that right here in Wisconsin, while continuing my Earthquake Writing!!!

Quake Chase 2014: Oakland Was A SUCCESS!!!!!

Reason I am officially now declaring it to be a success is because although Quake Chase 2014 was related to the August Full Moon/SuperMoon. . . . . there was a 6.0 Richters San Francisco/Napa, California Earthquake just 10 days after I arrived home on Amtrak and it just so happened to strike 3 hours before the subsequent August NEW MOON that followed that Full Moon/SuperMoon!!!

After having spent like 3 days out in Oakland and San Francisco telling basically everybody there would soon be an earthquake judging by all the "Foreshocks" in addition to the SuperMoon. . . seems good enough to convince myself that I did the right thing going and the Quake Chase was therefore a success!!! Exact moment of the August 2014 Full Moon and if my itinerary works out well. . . looks like i should be in my cozy bungalo near beautiful downtown Oakland, California!!!

Short trip on my Rollerblades from the Amtrak Station there to my motel providing my train arives on time Saturday and possibly some running around and site-seeing the remainder of that day with Tom Petty playing the Out Land Festival at Gateway Park that night!!! Although having no ticket for that sold out event not sure if I'll be heading up that way you know.

Finally the exact moment of the Full Moon should be on Sunday and I'll be there!!! With the August Full Moon shining brightly over my head there. . . in beautiful Oakland, California!!!!! See You There!!! Quake Chaser/EQ Guy

As of July 29, 2014, I would have Arrived HOME From Latest Quake Chase on Monday. . . . .

But looking back now, I also notice the very reason that I did not ultimately go on this Quake Chase was because it was for a MegaThruster and possible Tsunami and as I said in that weeks Video Log, I did not want to be climbing around on that 30 foot crevice left near Anchorage by the 1964 Alaska Earthquake when the next MegaThruster stikes!!!

Therefore, decided NOT to travel to Anchorage on this occasion but it was very close!!! Had planned to leave Thursday which would be a week ago this coming Thursday, August 31, 2014 and would have arrived home yesterday early on July 28, 2014. In the process of all the planning I encountered the Super 8 Motel in Anchorage filling up and leaving me with 2 Queensize beds for $170 a night. Finally if I was able to navigate from Delta Airlines, get the airline ticket and get back to the Super 8 website. . . was not certain ANY rooms would still be there! Gave up at the thought that too big of a Pacific Wide Tsunami could even affect Anchorage and that was the end of that one!!!

Quake Chase: Anchorage!!! Who's Going!!!???

As of this late hour of Saturday Night April 26, 2014. . . I am presently checking around to see who would like to fly out on Sunday on this potentially GREAT Quake Chase up to beautiful Anchorage, Alaska!!!!!

Going right now to check for flights and no idea where I or we might stay. . . except actually have at least one friend up that way!!! CHECKED!!! Looks like some great seats available on Alaska Air Flight 139 Non-Stop from Chicago to Anchorage leaves at 9:35am and arrives at 1:10pm but not sure if that is Alaska Time? Now checking for hotels, stand by!

Quake Chase 2014: San Fernando/Tijuana??? BUT WIth an 8.2 Coming??? AND Which City???

With the line of Major Earthquake Energy crossing almost directly through the San Fernando Valley it is hard not to take off immediately for Beautiful San Fernando and tempting to be within a few miles of the epicenter of possibly the biggest California Earthquake in all history of mankind. . . but at the same time having already been in a few fairly big ones, not! Hard to imagine what might be the result of the two 8.2 Richters foreshocks that could possibly both be sending all their earthquake energy up towards that region.

Secondly, additional readings of the globe used to track such earthquake energy as this, turned up Tijuana and am not exactly sure if it is really too possible to situate ones self anywhere that might catch one or either of these potentially upcoming BIG ONES!

Does look like this is it, though! And am actually giving some thought to this because it is rare that there is something this big going down. Window runs into May 2014 and I wish there was a way to narrow that date down more both from the stand point of wanting to "Quake Chase" and wishing to be able to alert the people this could be happening!

Until more is known I will be sticking right here writing and hoping some day to have a better system by which to inform the general public that it does look like there could be a Major Earthquake heading for them!!! Thank-You For Reading!!! Quake Chaser/EQ Guy

Quake Chase 2013: LaGrange, Illinois??? Well They DID Have a 3.7 Yesterday!!!

Couldn't believe it when I heard there was a 3.7 Richters Earthquake in the nearby State of Illinois! Of course you didn't have to tell me twice by the names appearing on the front page of the notice that it was another in a recent series that has been striking just outside Chicago, so I knew right then and there that I would have to travel down to that neighborhood where I have been known to rollerblade in the past and even lived during the shooting of the movie HOFFA during the early 1990's.

Yes, I am talking about LaGrange, Illinois! The actual epicenter was listed as the next town to the east of there, McCook, Illinois. . . also a small town where old Route 66 once ran through and you could probably say still runs through today!

There I talked to one person right at the epicenter inside a Bank of America and she described it as a "Tremor" and said that they thought a semi had struck the building and when they all went running out of the building they immediately noticed that everybody else had gone running out of all the other buildings in the neighborhood, too! Including restaurants, pharmacies, book stores, gas stations, and etc. in this otherwise sleepy little suburb of Chicago.

Downgraded to a 3.4 by the end of the day yesterday, this was large enough to be felt all over Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin as well as a few felt reports from Indiana!

The epicenter was very near a Quarry where a lot of the blame for this shaker was going over the last two days due to them having blasted just moments before this earthquake, but it may possibly never be determined what the quarry blast might have had to do with it.

And that is exactly how this Quake Chase ended, too, by going over to the friendly neighborhood Shopping Plaza that goes by the name "The Quarry" for a slice of Pepperoni Pizza and a can of pop!!!

Quake Chase 2013 to Vanuatu? Looks Like The MegaThruster May Stike Out There Somewhere!!!

I have been doing some checking and found out that I can catch a flight directly from O'Hare Airport in Chicago to Brisbane, Australia with only one stop at DFW, Dallas-Fort Worth. Then I would have to catch a flight from Brisbane to Port Villa, Vanuatu but it looks like that might not allow me to stop over in Australia due to Visitor Visa rules there and I have not resolved the matter of changing planes at the Brisbane Airport without entering Australia per se. . . if there is such a thing. Same thing on the return trip.

Everything else would be pretty much a go to spend the month of August out there in the middle of those Pacific Islands, out there where some of this upcoming MegaThruster MIGHT be shaking in the coming days and weeks!

So, Quake Chaser will be working out the last minute connections on this now upcoming research trip including where I'm going to get the three thousand-five hundred dollars that I will need to purchase all of those tickets in addition to several nights stay out there on Vanuatu somewhere. I have not found if there is a ferry service that travels among the islands in order for me to catch Luganville, or possibly Fiji? And WHERE is the MegaThruster going to strike??? Someday I MIght Like to Quake Chase a big Sumatra Style Mega-Thruster!!!!!

I know that could be today, but I don't really know if I want to get the feeling like I might be way too close to one of those big giant fault lines that has the capability of causing Gnormous Tsunami's!!!!! Otherwise now would be the time to be thinking about getting on a plane and starting to catch a flight over to Jakarta. . . which ironically I have actually even looked into before! Think I would have to change planes like in Japan or Korea or one of those places that probably has direct flights to Jakarta, while there possibly are no direct flights to Jakarta from Chicago O'Hare.

So, watch for that next big MegaThruster to strike over in that region and think of me still sitting here safe. . . in the basement of Moms house up here in mosquito infested Wisconsin!!!!! Quake Chaser

LOTS of Potential Earthquake Stuff Going On In California!!!!!

Currently working on possibly catching one of the upcoming Major California Earthquakes that seem to be headed both for the Mexicali/Calexico Region near Los Angeles AND for the Northern California Region where Mammoth Lakes just got five pages of earthquakes as of late last night which all add up to around 150 Richters!!!

Kind of tough to figure out where a guy would travel to in order to catch all the action but you know Quake Chaser is on it!!!!! O'Hare Airport here I come!!!!! See You Out There. . . . . just have no idea where I might end up!!!

Quake Chase This Weekend!!! Montego Bay, Jamaica? L.A.?

Called the airlines immediately as soon as the Jamaica Region started experiencing more than the garden variety of earthquakes. That was when it occurred to me that a trip down to that islands region might just be in order due to Haiti, Jamaica, and Puerto Rico might all be places where the next Major Earthquake could strike.

I had to think it all through and had no problem finding direct flights out of Chicago to Montego Bay. Did not get to the hotels there before the thought occurred to me that it MIGHT just be like Quake Chase 2011. . . and actually be TOO BIG of an Earthquake to want to be that near the epicenter. Of course there is always that little problem of not wanting to bring along my PFD (Personal Flotation Device) as carry-on. We will just have to wait a couple more days till early this week to see if a tsunami will be generated by the earthquake that might strike there.

Finally as the end of the week set in and I was all prepared knowing something WAS going to shake, it next occurred to me that I might just jump in my car and drive out to California for a quick Quake Chase. Perhaps out along Highway 1, in the Paso Robles neighborhood and a quick drive through beautiful downtown Northridge, California. Where the plan is right at the moment is that the last several times I drove back and forth to California I was paying somewhere between $50 and $80 for gas. Just in the back of my mind never having stopped to figure out the difference. . . i think it would be a lot higher today. All in all the problem with both Quake Chases is that the Earthquake Energy due to strike is not of the straight line variety such as was the event of October 2011 at Coos Bay, Oregon. Making this weekends potential Major Earthquake slightly less certain and just a little bit on the difficult side to just jump in the car and drive out there to. A sponser who would help out with a trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica????? Probably not anytime in the near future. So, I will be home with the phone screaming about every hour now (With latest earthquakes, you know) and just wait to watch the Next Major Earthquake on TV like everybody else will be doing at any moment, now!!! Big Quake Chase: New Madrid, October 2012!!!!!

As soon as all that new earthquake energy starts to shake up around Fairbanks, Alaska. . . and then shows some signs of major earthquake energy crossing up around Edmonton and Yellowstone, then it will be time to start heading down towards the New Madrid Region because it is looking like that might be where the next major earthquake might strike!!! I am presently looking at around October 24, 2012 for leaving for New Madrid and first touring the Wabash Region where there could also be some shaking!? The closer October gets to the full moon, the further down New Madrid way I will want to be probably including Sikeston, Ridgely, and Blytheville in my tour as well. I do not recall ever having earthquake energy actually cross New Madrid so this should be an exciting adventure being fairly sure something is probably going to be shaking down there later this month! Although it could also shake up around St. Louis and Southern Illinois. . . and might ultimately be heading for Jamaica, it still seems like the place to go for a Great Quake Chase 2012!!!!! Great Quake Chase: Los Angeles!!!!!

Yes, it just occurred to me tonight as I was writing out this last minute update that now appears on the front page of my EQ Blog, that if Los Angeles IS going to be now getting a lot of this upcoming major earthquake, then perhaps I should jump in my car and head right out there Quake Chasing!!! Slight problem with the fact that the San Andreas Fault is like a thousand miles long and there is no way I could cover all of it in my car, either! My guess would be to be out in Malibu like at the beach where I'd probably be able to feel the ground move under my feet, or at least go for a swim out there anywayz. Have actually had an earthquake occur while I was at the Santa Monica Pier and one shook one day when I was at Capistrano Beach as well. So, until a more straight line earthquake prediction comes along, I do not think there is any way I can be in both L.A. and S.F. at the same time so it looks like this will not be a Quake Chase!!!
